DRAFT VERSION ~ the sale has not yet begun!
Today begins our first monthly themed sale! This is my new experiment to see if this helps readers and writers find each other.
This month, we have cozy books of all kinds! Some are fantasy, some are romance, and we even have some poetry. As I discovered in my recent post, there’s no single agreement about what cozy means. Some of these books are pure warm fluff; others have a bit more plot but still a cozy vibe.
Dive in, click the purchase links to see all the places where these books are offered, and enjoy!

Genre: Secondary-world urban fantasy
Buy for 1.99 at these stores or itch.io!
A group of roommates has been called upon to save their city, but forget the fact that they don’t know how. These people have jobs, and those dishes won’t do themselves.
Several thousand years ago, the first people on the continent disappeared to an individual. The humans, elves, and sebus who moved in since found something better than treasure in the ruins: a language that can make objects obey, their nature change. They call this power wizardry.
Jendaiar Phos is busy blowing up his life with the help of his estranged younger brother and fellow wizard Hecanthes. When they witness a mysterious magical event that draws the hostile eyes of the local authorities onto them, their fates are thrown together. The good news: the mother he hasn’t seen since he was ten just left Jendaiar a house. The bad news: it’s in Zimanges, the city in the clouds. A crossroads kingdom founded by a bandit.
The house turns out to be huge; they can’t afford to keep it, heat it, and still eat. They’re going to need some roommates, and Zimanges is full of people looking to start fresh. Their new friends include a troubled elven seer, a shaman who changes their face as the mood takes them, and a pile of leaves that has a mission for them. A demon has found its way into their world, but none of them know what a demon IS, let alone how to get rid of the thing. It doesn’t help that the scary king takes an interest in them while a wave of kidnappings sweeps the city.
It would be so much easier to cope with if the house were furnished.

Najra has three dreams in her life: First, catch the attention of a prince. (Specifically, the God-Emperor’s bookish youngest brother.) Next, get him to hire her to assist with his research in the marvelous Archives in Tel-Bastet. And then, finally, read ALL the books.
Marrying the prince has never been in the plan. Najra has never lusted for anything but knowledge.
Unfortunately, the prince has dreams as well. Because he’s also a prophet who foresees trouble coming. Between her heretical geometries and her cursed spellbook, Najra has to admit that his dreams of trouble have her pegged.
Now what is she supposed to do with a matchmaking busybody of an Archivist pushing them together, an angry catfolk bodyguard pulling them apart, and a sweet, anxious prophet-prince who won’t even tell her what he wants?
What does a happy ending look like for a pair of mismatched dreamers who both love learning best of all?
For the asexual folks and the questioning folks who’ve wanted a story where your own desires are respected and valued, this one is for you. For the Witches vs. Patriarchy crew, this one is for you too. [read the blurbs for the rest of the stories in the book on the author’s website]

The Bachelor’s Valet
Arden Powell
Trying to avoid an unwanted arranged marriage, airheaded young gentleman Alphonse Hollyhock accidentally falls in love with his extraordinarily competent valet. An MM romance set in 1920s London with magic.
Genre: Romance
Buy for $.99 from these stores.
Alphonse Hollyhock is blessed with wealth, class, and more beauty than brains. Though he hasn’t got a lick of wit or magic to his name, he’s perfectly content living life as an airheaded bachelor with his valet—the clever, unflappable Jacobi—by his side to ensure everything runs smoothly. All he lacks, according to his mother, is a wife.
Despite Alphonse’s protests, he’s to marry Aaliyah Kaddour: a bright, headstrong young woman who would probably be charming company if she didn’t threaten everything about Alphonse’s way of life. Marrying means giving up his fashionable flat, his fast car, and, worst of all, it means losing Jacobi.
Perhaps most distressingly, this talk of marriage is bringing all sorts of confusing feelings to the forefront. Because rather than falling for the beautiful girl being pushed into his arms, Alphonse seems to be falling for his valet. Except a man can’t fall in love with another man. Can he?
Meanwhile, Aaliyah has plans of her own. She’s as devious as she is pretty, but if Alphonse wants to get through this marriage business in one piece, he’ll have to trust her. Her and Jacobi, and, most dangerously, his own feelings.
The Bachelor’s Valet is a novel in the Flos Magicae series, a collection of queer romances set in an alternate 1920s universe with magic. All the stories are standalones and can be read in any order.

As a prince of the fae High Court, Asher Heath has always been caught between two worlds—the kingdom of faerie where his fire magic is unparalleled and the human realm where he works as a firefighter. But two months ago, he lost control of a blaze his fae magic was supposed to contain, with tragic results. With his magic poisoned by a demon curse, he can’t risk getting close to anyone… including Gwyn, the fierce and beautiful dragon shifter he encounters out in a thunderstorm in the woods. But trouble has followed Asher to Everwood Falls. An arsonist is setting fires around town using demon magic to possess their victims—and their targets get bigger every time.
Gwyneth Drake doesn’t need a prince to save her. She shifts into a twenty-foot fire-breathing dragon who can fight her own battles. A fierce advocate for the dragon community, she was forced into hiding when an ex tried to sear her dragon from the skies. Now dragon blood has been found at one of the arson sites and she and Asher will have to work together to stop the arsonist before they strike again. Someone from Gwyn’s past may have followed her to Everwood Falls, and they’re too close to the case for comfort…
